MOST domestic (U.S.) orders are shipped within 3 business days of receipt.

Our shopping cart automatically computes shipping costs and is linked directly into the shipping calculators for FedEx, UPS and the United States Postal Service.

Shipping costs are based on weight, distance traveled and class of service requested. Note that shipping rates are not based on the dollar volume of your order.

We add a nominal $1.25 box and handling charge to each box of all orders. This charge helps defray the cost of boxes, packing materials, order processing equipment, shipping labels and other expenses relating to processing, packing and shipping your order in a manner that assures your merchandise arrives intact and on-time.

The packing materials we use in our shipments are 100% recycled and 100% recyclable. Our shredded cardboard box packing material is completely compostable and we encourage you to donate your packing materials to the nearest compost bin. To further our recycling efforts, your order may arrive in a box that we received merchandise in. Be assured that we only recycle boxes that are suitable for this purpose.

IMPORTANT: Please note that some items may appear heavier in our shopping cart than their actual weight. This is due to the fact that some items fall under a "dimensional weight" oversize pricing policy instituted by UPS, USPS, and FedEx.

The dimensional weight of a package is determined by MULTIPLYING the length times the width times the depth of the package (fractions rounded up) and then dividing by 194. The resulting figure, rounded up to the next whole number, is our billed weight for the item.

We have updated our shopping cart to reflect these changes, so no additional computations are required on your part. If you are interested in placing an order large enough to be shipped via truck freight, please call our office to ascertain availability to your location, as this could greatly reduce shipping charges depending on the items ordered.

*IMPORTANT: We try our best to get same day orders processed if the order arrives in time for processing. However, when selecting 3-Day shipping options, please be advised that these options are promised from the time of shipping, not from the time the order was submitted. Please understand that it takes time to process the payment, pick your order from the warehouse, properly pack it in a box, label it and get it ready for shipping.

Some products are shipped directly from the manufacturer, which may delay the shipping time. If your order doesn't arrive complete, please wait a day or two before calling, as part of it may have been shipped from a separate location. All beneficial insect orders are shipped directly from our insectary separately from the hard goods in your order.

All U.S. shipments are insured at no extra cost.

We are unable to provide tracking for orders shipped via the United States Postal Service. Delivery confirmation service is provided.

Canadian orders are shipped via United States Postal Service International Priority Mail. Please note that weight and size restrictions may limit what we can ship to Canada via this method. In the rare instance an issue of this nature arises, our customer service representatives will contact you before processing your order.

Prepaid orders will be sent freight collect for shipping if appropriate shipping and handling costs are not included with order.

Special orders are non-returnable and may incur extra delivery charges or fees.

We strive to keep our website up to date with current stock shortage information. Occasionally, an item sells out before we are able to update the website. Items temporarily out of stock will be shipped as soon as received back in stock. If a product is no longer available, we will offer to substitute a comparable or better item. If no comparable product is available, we will promptly refund your money.


When your order arrives, please check to see that everything listed on the packaging slip/invoice is there and in good condition.  Refused shipments that are not pre-authorized are subject to a 20% restocking charge in addition to return shipping charges.

All product returns must be processed within 30 days from the date of the invoice.  After 30 days, the manufacturer's warranty policy applies.

Retain all packaging material and documentation.  We recommend you package your return securely and insure it for the value of the contents.

Prior to returning any product, call Customer Service at 1-800-227-0027 or 517-332-3688 or email us at: customerservice@superiorgrowers.com to receive a Return Authorization Number (RAN).  We will not accept any returns without a RAN.  The RAN is only valid for 10 days after it has been issued and must be clearly displayed on the outside of the shipping box.  If the return does not have a RAN clearly visible and displayed on the outside of the box, the product will be refused, and returned at the customer's expense.  This will delay crediting your account.

When calling for a RAN, please have the following information available: Customer name, Invoice Number, and Reason for Return.

For unopened items received within the 30-day return period, you will receive a full refund or store credit, less shipping and handling.  All non-defective products received within the 30-day return period must be returned 100% complete, in sellable condition, including original packaging material, manuals, warranty cards and all other accessories provided by the manufacturer.  Non-defective returns for credit or exchange may be subject to shipping, handling, and restocking fees.

All defective products returned within the 30-day return period will be accepted directly by Superior Growers Supply, Inc. for credit or replacement.

All returns that do not conform to our Return Policy are subject to a 20% restocking fee in addition to return shipping charges.
